One day, while driving down Highland Rd. from Prairieville into Baton Rouge, a mother was dumbfounded by
her sons actions. She was sitting there face to face with what she believed to be a complete liar, and at
such a young age. She couldn't understand. What did she do wrong while raising her son? What would make him want
to lie about such trivial things. "Why?", she kept asking herself.
"But Mom, I did see a chicken in those people's yard!", the Son exclaimed.
"And...?", Mom questioned.
"It WAS huge, and grey. It was the size of a small tree, or something! I swear!", the kid tried to explain
with all of the conviction and determination possible at his age.
She just couldnt believe that there really was a huge grey chicken in someone's yard the size of a small
tree. There was just no way this could be true. She then, knew what action must be taken.
The son was grounded for several weeks for telling lies, and he would have served his whole sentence, but...
his mother came home with some interesting news.
"Son, I've been looking up and down Highland Rd. everytime I pass that way all week, and couldnt find this
huge chicken you were talking about. I was starting to wonder if maybe you werent doing so well, and that I should bring you
to a head doctor. Son, I owe you an appology. I too, have seen the giant chicken in those people's yard.", she
then paused to breathe and continued, "I am sooo sorry for doubting you. You are no longer punished and I promise to
try harder to believe you next time.", she softly but firmly spoke.
The Son thought that would be the last of the chicken and people not beliveing him about it. RIGHT!? Even
to this day people that he tell, dont believe him and call him crazy. Until now... until you read and see everything that
this webpage has to offer.
